Repair questions.
Should I keep playing with a cracked bat?
If the crack is opening, the handle is loose or the bat feels unsafe, stop using it until it can be assessed. Continuing to play may make the damage harder to repair.
Will a repair make my bat like new?
A repair can extend a bat’s useful life, but results depend on the damage and wood condition. We discuss realistic expectations rather than promising an original-strength or like-new result.
What information helps with a quote?
Include the brand and model, visible damage, previous repairs, the work you want and whether you need local or mail-in service. Clear views of the face, back, sides, toe and handle are useful.
Do you offer knocking-in and oiling?
Hand knocking-in is listed at $50, with an $80 package that adds face sanding, minor-crack repair, and a scuff sheet and toe binding if needed. Ask separately about oiling.
